I am grateful to report that my youngest client (age 9) to my young adult clients have all received the needed therapeutic support to reach their individual goals. Should client needs ever exceed my expertise they will be referred for the best possible therapeutic help. I have counseled young people with behavioral challenges in school and at home, with Asperger's Syndrome seeking to exceed deemed limitations, death of a parent, those identifying as LGBTQ, and those struggling with various life transitions.

I am a Board Certified National Certified Counselor, Licensed in Professional Counseling. My education and experience covers all aspects of the individual, family, and couple dynamics. I'm very grateful to Michelle for the tools she has shown me. She very quickly honed in on what I needed and when I resisted the path she suggested, she brought that up and helped me face myself. I'm excited and happy that at my tender age of 64, I have realised that I still need to heal as an Adult Child of an Alcoholic. I am positive about being able to do the work to achieve that healing.

Michelle is amazing!

Written on Jan 09, 2022 after therapy with Michelle for 5 months

There have been times when I resisted attending a therapy session. However, by the end of a session I resisted, I was always glad that I attended. Michelle has a lot to do with that flip. She is so warm and fun and always “keeps it real”. Connecting with my counsellor is a non-negotiable for me and I definitely feel that we connect. I also feel that she is wholeheartedly invested in my growth, and this is apparent in various ways. For example: she always gives me her undivided attention; she is kind, compassionate and non-judgemental (essential traits for a therapist in my eyes); she readily shares her own experiences and knowledge with the hope of shedding insight and offering solutions; and she is immensely generous in sharing resources and exercises to support my goals and wellbeing. I found in Michelle not only a loving, supportive therapist, but also a trusted companion that is committed to help me navigate obstacles in my life with the goal of arriving at a healthier, happier place. Thank you, Michelle, for all you’ve done for me until now, and for being you!

She's great with knowing what you should be focusing on in your problems. Quick to understand the situation and doesn't force her opinions on you but suggests you useful resolutions to help your problems. She's a great listener and has a way make someone comfortable in spilling your soul to her. I'd highly recommend her especially to my LGBTQ's out there seeking for help. Best experience for me.

Michelle is a very helpful councillor; providing prompts, questions and alternative point of views outside of yourself. She uses worksheets to build positive habits and a change of mindset for long term solutions.

Michelle’s warm and welcoming presence makes you feel comfortable to share your inner world. From the first session with her, I felt very taken care of and comfortable to return for more. She’s attentive, experienced, and full of wisdom. I deeply appreciate her and her guidance.

In the short time that I've worked with Michelle, I feel like I've been challenged to explore what really matters to me and to take an active role in shaping the life I want. Michelle puts an emphasis on connecting with me on a human level, which I feel enhances the therapeutic relationship and makes our sessions more fruitful. I would recommend Michelle to people who are curious about themselves and want to work on becoming a richer more developed version of themselves. Kindness and empathy are at the heart of Michelle's sessions, however, that does not mean that she will ignore any nonsense on your end--at the end of the day you are responsible for your growth.

You are the first counselor that has gave me homework and skills. I've been looking for someone like that for years. So happy to have found you

I have only had a few of sessions with Michelle, but she is amazing, and I look forward to booking my next session. She understands what I am going through as an LGBTQIA+ person, and has really good insight into relationship problems. I feel comfortable speaking to her as I would normally, which I was nervous about as I use many swear words, but I'm allowed to speak freely. She is very supportive but also tells it how it is, which honestly I need right now. If you are going through something I would highly recommend her, she has been a voice of reason, support, and understanding as I deal with the issues presented in front of me. Most importantly, she is so adaptable. She focuses on my needs even if they change day to day! I don't think I am an easy client, but she always responds to me promptly. She is awesome!

Work with me!
