About me

I believe that being a teenager is one of the hardest times in a person's life... probably second only to being a parent. It isn't a secret that adolescence gives even the best among us a run for their money, regardless of your circumstances. The good news is that there is hope, there are things we can do to better get through the stressful gauntlet that is the teenage years and to further pave the way to a happier future.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years experience in individual and family therapy, specializing in treating adults, children and adolescents. My style is a collaborative and dynamic Strengths Based approach incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused and Systemic (Family) therapies. We all need guidance and support throughout life, now more than ever. I view therapy as a collaborative process in which my client's allow me to assist them on their journey towards change.
How we think directly impacts how we feel and therefore how we act, the decisions we make and the way we approach our lives on a daily basis. There are many elements in our life experience that shape how we think and feel. When we understand the how and why of our thinking, we can then start reshaping our thoughts and changing how we feel.
'Where there is life, there is hope... and where there is hope, all things are possible.'

Jen is very responsive as well as accommodating to carefully listening to everything. I have to say she is very emotionally supportive and I feel that I can confide in her just after a few sessions.

From the get go Jennifer connected easily with both me and my daughter. My daughter looks forward to the sessions and she is being given techniques to cope in everyday life. My daughter's mood and outlook has already changed after just a few sessions.
