About me
My name is Bobbie Jo Rand and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LCSW) and a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC) in the State of Maine. I have over 14 years experience working with children and teens. I have worked in a hospital setting, as well as in a crisis clinician capacity and social worker and substance abuse counselor in a middle and high school. I have experience working with teens with family/parent conflict, peer conflict, relationship issues, substance use, trauma, academic and behavioral concerns at school and home, self esteem issues and anger control issues. The relationship that I form with adolescents is from a neutral, nonjudgmental standpoint, working with them to build independence and self advocacy skills, coping strategies and social skills.
I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, strength-based approaches, solution focused techniques, and mindfulness practices. Working with you to achieve your full potential and achieve success on your goals is the anticipated outcome. I look forward to working with you and helping to define and develop your success.

She is terrific!!!!
Bobbie Jo is AMAZING. She has helped me through tough and happy times. She provides a listening ear and great advice and tips when needed.
Bobbie-Jo really helped me for the last few months. Her questions always helped me think and grow and learn more about myself
Today was my first session with Bobbie-Joe and I immediately knew I would love her. She is so easy to talk to and extremely understanding. She made me feel heard and understood. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!
I’ve only had two sessions but I’m so grateful.
Bobbie-Jo has been great. Our conversations do help, she helps me understand situations better. My anxiety level has gone down. Feels good to talk to her every week, many take aways from our sessions. I am very greatful for her.
Although I just recently started Bobbie-Jo has been very helpful and easy to talk with. I was scared to start my therapy journey, I thought I could deal with it myself but I finally got the courage and I am so happy I was paired with Bobbie-Jo.
I absolutely loved talking to her she helped a lot. Unfortunately I did have to stop talking to her due to personal matters. I would recommend her to EVERYONE! She really takes the time to understand me and what I’m going through and she understands as well.
